Valerio the jaguar, age three, was born in San Diego and moved to New Orleans in 2017. He killed four alpacas, an emu, and a fox before being subdued by zoo authorities. 。
In cases like this, a zoo may consider putting down the animal in question, but Valerio will not be.。

Despite sympathy for the lost animals, many online couldn't blame Valerio for doing what jaguars do. 。

That, or he's back in his enclosure, plotting his next escape. We hope for the sake of the zoo's remaining alpaca population that he's not. 。
