Playlists are great for starting relationships, but now a true genius has shown us all that they can also be used to end them.

The pioneer of this awesome new technique is Kirsten Titus, 19, who decided to break things off with her boyfriend Wyatt Hall, 20, by making him a Spotify playlist full of songs that made it obvious she was moving him into the friend zone.

When you put all the song titles together they spell out, “Do you still want to kiss me because I am kinda lovin’ someone else but we can still be friends.” She made it last week, using an account she shares with her younger sister, Erika. Like any good sibling would, Erika tweeted about it.

Kirsten jokingly begged her sister to stop, but it was too late. Innovation like this cannot be contained, and it of course went viral.

As for why she went this novel route, Kirsten told Buzzfeed, "We went on a lot of creative dates," so it was only fitting that she end things in an interesting way. It got the job done, and then some.

Fortunately, Wyatt took the whole thing well, and returned the gesture with his own funny playlist with just one track.

In the end, though, this could be the best thing that's ever happened to Wyatt. He's getting plenty of attention -- and even a few playlists from interested parties.

But for the rest of us the news isn't so good: now we get to live every day in fear of opening Spotify only to find out we've been dumped.
